Mapping Exercise

Like many communities in the Valley, Gilbert Northwest is constantly changing and evolving in response to market and demographic shifts. However, not all change happens the same way, and Gilbert Northwest is not experencing change evenly. Instead, the market is responding differently across the area based on location, visbility, access, infrastructure, and existing investment.

Susceptibility to change is a way to indicate an area’s likelihood of redevelopment or development based on the factors listed above. During the Community Open House, attendees were asked to indicate places on a map by their susceptibility to change. This exercise is a valuable way for the planning team to gain qualatative site data from those who know Gilbert Northwest best.
