Welcome!
Gilbert Northwest is one of the Town’s key employment areas, home to a mix of major employers, business parks, and everyday destinations that support both Gilbert and the broader East Valley. Nearby, the Heritage District continues to evolve as a regional entertainment and dining destination, drawing residents and visitors alike.
The area is ready for intentional growth and reinvestment. After years of assessing conditions and gathering community feedback, the Town of Gilbert is ready to take action, and we want you to be part of the process.
The Gilbert Northwest Redevelopment Plan will serve as a strategic framework for reinvestment in one of Gilbert's most established neighborhoods, addressing infrastructure, economic development, and quality of life for residents and businesses alike. Your input will shape the future of the Gilbert Northwest community.
What to Expect
This planning effort is about guiding intentional change. The final plan will combine policy, strategy, and redevelopment concepts. It will address land use, zoning, and economic development strategies, while also identifying opportunities for reinvestment, improved mobility, and stronger connections. Implementation will focus on realistic tools, funding strategies, and partnerships that can support change over time. The redevelopment planning process will unfold over the next year, with community input woven into every stage.
Listening first. Before any plans are drawn, the project team will review existing data, conduct a thorough area analysis, and hear directly from community stakeholders who know this area best.
Big-picture thinking. The plan will examine everything from road safety and walkability to economic opportunity and housing needs, identifying the trends and conditions that will shape Gilbert Northwest's future.
A transparent process. Every major milestone will go through public review, with presentations to the Planning Commission and Town Council before anything is finalized.
